So... It has been a while since my last post: I've spent close to 2 months in Israel, spent the rest of this summer at home in Minneapolis, rocked one on one time with my youngest and then sent her back to college. phew!! Time to get back to cooking and writing!

My weekend routine includes a (close to mandatory) visit to the local Farmers' Market. Minnesota is just exploding with beautiful produce at this time of year. Flowers and flour, lotion and honey, fruit and vegetables galore -  I just can't say no and end up spending more time and greens than I intend to do... sigh...

But - the good news? It led me to a jam session, or should I say - obsession???? I find freezer jams quick and easy and can be made in small batches. Even better - they do not require canning! Just place them in your freezer for up to 3 months or in your fridge for use within the next 2-3 weeks.

The best part for me and my inability to say no to beautiful produce? If we didn't get to all the blueberries, strawberries and blackberries on time and they are a little soft and over ripe? Into the jam they go! Mushy nectarines became Almond-Nectarine jam and soft berries became Cardamom-Triple berry jam...
